The Rockets played 3 games on the return of the Premiership on Sunday. Overall the squad performed well and were unlucky not to have come out of the day with more points.

Match 1 – Villa Rockets 1 – 1 WBA Throstles

(A.Ali)

The team’s first competitive game of the season ended in a draw. The Rockets went 1-0 down in the first half but responded well and got a deserved equaliser late in the 1st half. Although both sides could have got a 2nd goal, the draw was probably a fair result.

Match 2 – WBA 2 – 1 Villa Rockets

(S.Rice)

A slow start to this game left the Rockets 2 down at half time. However there was a big improvement in the 2nd half with Summer scoring a goal on debut. Despite causing Albion a host of problems for the rest of the game, the deserved equaliser proved elusive.

Match 3 – Villa Rockets PFC 0 – 2 Nottingham PFC

The team lost their final game of the day, suffering tiredness from the long day. They let in a goal in each half through defensive mistakes and despite hitting the post in the 2nd half couldn’t get back into the game.
