We kicked off our weekend of powerchair football against Aspire PFC. We headed into this game without Dan Kay #2 who was facing a 1 match ban due to receiving 3 yellow cards.
Despite Aspire bagging an early goal we remained united and stood our ground, preventing them from scoring any more. Resulting in a 1-0 defeat.
Second up was AFC Bournemouth Warriors and in the 13th minute Amir Ali #99 whipped in a goal. Second half rolled around and Dan Ball #17  bagged himself 2 goals followed by Dan Kay #2 resulting in an impressive 4-0 win!
The team started off Sunday against a resolute Sevenoaks PFC, who were going to be tough opposition with only 3 players.
The team struggled to break down the Sevenoaks defence but got a breakthrough in the second half from a D. Kay set piece and a S. Rice assist to give the team a 1-0 win.
Our 2nd game of the day saw us draw 0-0 with Nottingham PFC.
We created some half chances and felt a bit disappointed not to get a goal but nevertheless pleased with our overall performance.
For our final game of a long weekend, we faced Leeds Chariots PFC. This was an open game between both teams, and we came close to a few goals with 2 set piece attempts, which went narrowly wide.
The 2nd half was much of the same, but we were unable to get a breakthrough, with the team getting another 0-0 result.
Overall, we are happy with our performances, knowing there is still room for improvement.
We currently have 20 points from our 14 games, with 8 games remaining. We will look to build on the rest of the season to keep improving performances and picking up points.
A massive thank you to the players, coaches, and family members for their efforts and support throughout the weekend. It is very much appreciated.
