The premiership team second round of fixtures started off with a good performance and win.
The team got into the game with their passing, after a quick start by the opposition. The team opened the scoring through D. Ball, who got on to and guided a well hit pass / shot by S. Rice into the goal. S. Rice added a second, reacting quickly from an opposition free kick to hit the ball back past the opposition goalkeeper. The team nearly increased their lead, hitting the post and having one cleared off the line.
The team added a third in the second half, through a well-timed shot by D. Kay.
WBA Throstles 0 – 1 Villa Rockets PFC

The opposition started off quickly in the second game of the day and the Rockets struggled to get momentum or any rhythm going. We had a couple of corners which were saved and got the breakthrough when A. Ali hit the ball past the last opposition player to score before halftime.
In the second half Rockets had similar struggles as in the first half, not getting momentum or control of the game. The team managed to create a couple more chances but were unable to increase their lead. In the end the team saw out the narrow win.
While the team was unhappy with their overall performance, they were pleased to have gotten the win.
